A 1 digit seven segment display is an essential component in electronic devices, providing a simple and efficient way to display numerical information. There are two main types of seven segment displays:  all the cathodes of the LED segments are connecte together to ground, while each segment’s anode is drive high to illuminate it. This configuration is ideal for applications where a low-side switching method is preferr, simplify circuit design.

Conversely, display connects all anodes together to a positive voltage, and each segment’s cathode is driv low to turn it on. This setup is useful for high-side switching, making it suitable for various microcontroller applications.
