Description
Shields are boards that can be plugged on top of the Arduino PCB extending its capabilities. The different shields follow the same philosophy as the original toolkit: they are easy to mount, and cheap to produce.
Shields are pieces of hardware that sit on top of your Arduino, often to give it a specific purpose. For example, you can use a shield to make it easier to connect and control motors or even to turn your Arduino into something as complex as a mobile phone.
Features
Arduino Uno Expansion Shield Proto Shield is used in conjunction with Arduino Uno.
Used to build a circuit prototype, can be directly soldered components on the board.
Can also be connected through the mini breadboard circuit.
1 reset button, 1 power indication LED and 1 LED connected to Pin 13.
1 general use button and 1 LED circuits (unconnected).
5V, GND, and Raw pins are exposed as well.
SOIC place for IC.
The mini breadboard has 170 tie points.
The breadboard sticks on the prototype shield with its self-adhesive backing.
